SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to your community.

SASSA might be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it truly is alarmed regarding the significant range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The provider position designed for intervention encounters a higher influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to empower the servicing of all consumers and increase use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
